Not covered? Here’s what to do.

Even without insurance coverage, every appointment with your Registered Dietitian generates an official receipt. These can be submitted as medical expenses on your income tax return. You can also check whether your employer offers a Health Spending Account (many do, and dietitian services are typically an eligible expense). If you're unsure about your coverage or want to talk through the cost before booking, your free 20-minute consultation is a good place to start.

RECEIVING REIMBURSEMENT

How it works

Complete your appointment

After each of your dietitian appointments, a receipt is automatically generated for you, accessible via the patient portal.

Submit your receipt

You submit that receipt directly to your health plan for reimbursement — the same way you would for any other healthcare professional visit.

Receive reimbursement

There is nothing to pre-approve and no referral required. Check your coverage directly with your plan provider, book your appointment, and submit your receipts to them for reimbursement after each session.
